You may travel alone but you never have to be alone! If you’re in Prague, then Hostel ELF is the only place to stay.

With more than 13 years of backpackers’ experience, we offer you cheap accommodation, personal service and a lot of activities organized by the hostel staff.

We’re also a gallery full of unique underground art from young Czech artists. Our spacious rooms are originally decorated.

We have a free all-you-can-eat buffet-style breakfast.

At the heart of our hostel is our cosy common room where travellers from all over the world interact and socialize. Our fridge is always full of cheap Czech beer for only €0.70. You can relax outside on the garden terrace with BBQ area.

This is much more than a place to sleep in Prague – and Prague is more than just a stopover. Hostel ELF rocks. With our fun and funky atmosphere, come and find out why people don't want to leave...

Please note that we do not permit guests age 40 and over to stay in our dorm rooms. Thanks for understanding.

From the airport:
The cost is 32CZK, including the metro. Take the bus 119 to Dejvicka station (it’s the last stop) then take metro green line A for five stops. Get off at Muzeum station and change to red line C and go two stops to Florenc, then follow directions as below.
Alternately, you can take the shuttle bus. The cost is 50CZK.This bus will take you to Florenc bus station, and then follow directions as below.
A taxi should not cost you more than 550CZK. Sometimes taxi drivers in Prague will try to rip you off so always ask for the price and a receipt before getting into the car.

From Florenc metro and bus station:
Exit the station. Close to the McDonald’s, you’ll see a bus stop for buses number 133, 207 and 175.Take any of these buses for one stop to the station called ‘U Pamatniku’. Then cross the street and walk down about 20 metres – here we are!
If you decided to walk, it’ll takes you five minutes but you may find it hard to find us. Leave the station not using the main exit, but use the one for buses. When you get out of the station, find the lamp with our Hostel ELF logo and follow the arrow. Turn right, go under the bridge (little bit up the hill) and then turn left at the lights. There should be Bloody Blue tattoo salon on your left-hand side. Keep walking and on the same side there will be a bus stop – next to that is our hostel!

From Hlavni Nadrazi Main Train Station on foot:
The walk is only about 10 minutes but you may find it hard to find us. We’ve made for you a special navigation system to make it as easy as possible – please watch for the lamps! Ready? So, exit the train station and turn right. Walk across the park; there will be a kids’ playground on your left-hand side and at the end there will be a tram stop (serving trams 5, 9, and 26). Here you can find one of the lamps with the Hostel ELF logo which gives you the direction. Cross the road and go right. At the corner, turn left and you will get to a big cross. In the middle of this cross, you can find the second ELF lamp. Here, you have to cross on all pedestrian crossing (make like a half of a circle) and go left following the rail corridor. We highly recommend that you cross only on the lights. Take the street on the left side and keep walking. When you get on the first crossing (after three minutes ), there should be a theater called Ponec. Keep walking, and on the left side there should be a salon called Bloody Blue Tattoo Keep walking and after two minutes you’ll find us on the left-hand side.

From Hlavni Nadrazi Main Train Station by public transport:
The cost is 32CZK. Take the metro red line C in the direction of Letnany. Get off after one stop at Florence and then follow directions as above.

From Hlavni Nadrazi Main Train Station by taxi:
Please note that we do not recommend taking a cab from the train station. A number of our guests were taken advantage of by Prague's taxi drivers who charge five times more than the regulated fare. Always asked for the price before you get into the car! If you really wanna take a taxi just tell the address (Husiska 11, Prague 3) to a taxi driver and the price should be about 150CZK. If the taxi driver asks you to pay more than 200CZK, feel free to come up to the reception and we will help you to solve the problem. Taxi drivers in Prague are ok but sometimes they try to rip you off.

From Holesovice Train Station:
Take metro line C in the direction of Haje and get off after two stops at Florenc. Then follow directions as above.
If you decide to take a taxi, the price should not be more than 200CZK. Sometimes the taxi drivers try to rip off tourists so always ask for the price and a receipt before you get into the car.
